Salomon Sight Snowboard
Salomon Sight Snowboard
The Salomon Sight Snowboard is a freeride inspired board designed for all-mountain riders who demand performance and versatility. With a directional shape and medium flex, it's perfect for cruising groomers, floating through soft snow, and tackling steep terrain. The Quadralizer sidecut provides maximum edge control, while the Ghost Basalt Stringers offer a smooth and responsive ride. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, the Salomon Sight Snowboard is an excellent choice for exploring every run on the hill.
Rocker Type
Cross Profile – Camber between the feet for better control, pop and landing stability. Rocker on tip and tail for effortless flotation forward and switch.
Flex
Flex Rating – 2.5 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff)
Shape
Tapered Directional – Tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack.
Quadratic Sidecut – Quadratic sidecuts use 3 or more radii instead of a continuous radial sidecut. The radii of the sidecut is shallower at the ends and deeper in the middle, which promotes easier turn initiation.
Core
Popster – Popster's shaped core profile thins out under foot and thickens outside your bindings before tapering again at tip and tail to maximize the natural snap and pop of wood. Feels like your skateboard kicktail finally connected with your snowboard.
Aspen Strong Core – CNC-selected high-density wood strips for the inserts and rail zones results in improved impact resistance and a predictable flex from opening day to spring slush.
FSC® Certified Wood Core
Laminates
Biaxial Low Density Fiberglass – Low-density fibers allow for lighter boards that keep their playful forgiving flex forever.
Sidewalls
Royal Cork Rails – Keep the planet and your edges in good shape with this eco version of Royal Rubber Rails. All the impact and chatter absorption you need in a planet-friendly cork package.
Base
Medium Stone Finish – A medium structure finish that improves base glide. Quicker in all snow conditions, from cold morning corduroy to spring slush.
Extruded EG – A harder compound than EXT, Salomon EXT EG takes the easy maintenance of a non-sintered base and adds Electra for increased gliding characteristics.
Edges
All-Mountain Edge Bevels – A 1° edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut meets a 2° bevel between the feet. This delivers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.
